About Best AI Story Writer
This guide comes from the team that makes Feldar, a writing app for people who write stories and novels. Feldar is ours and is our first pick.
What we compare
"AI story writer" covers two very different things: tools that help you write your own story, and tools that write a story for you. We compare both, say which kind each tool is, and spell out what the free options really include.
How we check
Facts about other companies' tools come from their own pricing pages, feature pages and help centres, checked between 5 and 8 November 2026 and linked under Sources. The order of the picks and the "good for" notes are our opinions. Nobody paid to be listed, and we do not publish scores.
Corrections
Email support@feldar.com with anything that is wrong or out of date, and we will fix it and update the date on the page.
